Halloween Crafts for Kids
Balloon Ghost: To create this amusing Halloween toy you will have to get a pale colored balloon, cutters, white plastic shopping or trash bags, packing tape, twine and a black felt tipped pen. Then chop the plastic bags into narrow pieces with one side uncut to keep pieces together. Now inflate the balloon. Stick the narrow pieces from your bags all over the balloon to create the outline of a body. Take care that the balloon is overturned when you stick the bags on so it can be suspended. Pencil in a face on the balloon. Attach a twine to the balloon and suspend your creature.
Egg Carton Spider: This project requires an egg carton, googly eyes, cutters, pipe cleaners and colored chalk, felt tipped pens, or colored pencils. Take one segment out of the egg carton. Make four incisions on the sides of the box with cutters. Attach a pipe cleaner into the incisions and twist them to form spider legs. Now take a pencil, felt tipped pens or colored chalks to pencil in a face of a spider.
Pompom Spider: Materials which are required for this craft are wool thread, cutters, pipe cleaners, cardboard, paste and googly eyes. Divide your thread into two pieces one 2 feet long and the other a yard long. Make a four-sided figure 3 inch by 2 inch out of cardboard. Take the larger piece of yarn and slackly wrap around the cardboard cutout. Now gently remove the cardboard without damaging the wool loops. Place 4 pipe cleaners on the wool loops. Bring the wool loops and pipe cleaners securely together by tying with the 2 foot long peace of thread. To create the form of a pompom slash the loops into two parts. Form the spider legs by twisting the pipe cleaners. Paste googly eyes on to the spider.
Pasta and Beans Skeleton: To create this craft you will need construction paper, paste, dried beans, and different kinds of spaghetti (small shells, wagon wheels, ziti, elbow macaroni, salad macaroni, spirals, etc.) Arrange the spaghetti and beans in the form of a skeleton. Elbow macaroni will shape the ribs. It is quit easy to create toes and fingers using spaghetti. Make elbows and knees using little beans and shells. Lima beans will make ideal hips. As soon as you pleased with how your skeleton looks paste it in place.
Ghost Necklace: To make this fun Halloween decoration you will need Elmer's glue, small paper clasp, googly eyes, wax paper and thread. Draw with glue a figure of the ghoul on the wax paper. Straighten the paper clip and rearrange into a V. Place the V to the crown of the ghoul's head. Place googly eyes on the head of the ghoul. In a few days, the glue will become totally transparent. Take it of the wax paper pass your thread through the paper clip to transform it into a choker.
To create enjoyable Halloween crafts are not difficult. Parental supervision and patience will result in distinctive and fine-looking crafts. A scare crow is an excellent idea for a group or family project it is fun to design and build together. Everybody can participate and it will be a useful addition to your yard.
