Halloween Food
Throwing a Halloween party is a joy, and serving special Halloween food for your guests is part of it. You should prepare something unusual using the tips given you bellow to really cheer up the party. And if you are a guest who was asked to participate in making food for this event it would be a nice gift which everybody can try. If you have some children over, they would certainly enjoy preparing these treats with you.
- Scary Jell-O shapes. Many different types of Jell-O forms are available now which are suitable for Halloween. The most usual shapes are brains and hands. You will need a blood color gelatin (cherry or raspberry) to fill the form, and then provide your guests with a knife and fork so they can have fun cutting a piece of it. If you feel like making something very impressive you should get a skin colored flavor (for example peach), and after apply some red food coloring by dropping it in gaps of the gelatin. If it’s an adult party you can add vodka or other alcohol in your Jell-O.
- Pumpkin or Apple cheese ball. We are talking about unusual cheese balls made in special shapes for this time of the year. To prepare a pumpkin shape cheese ball, you'll need to have cheddar cheese, and a little bit of cream cheese to keep it together. When your cheese ball has the form of a pumpkin make the ribs on in using cutting edge of a dull knife. Cover it and put in the fridge until the party time. You can create “ stalk ” for the pumpkin with the overturned part of broccoli branch. Place the pumpkin inside of a craggy basket with tasty crackers all around it. To prepare a cheese ball with an apple-shape, you will need the same products; just make your mix look like an apple. A few minutes before you provide it to your guests, spread a cheese ball with paprika to create a red covering, and attach cinnamon twig and bay leaf for the apple “stalk".
- Halloween punch. To prepare an unforgettable party beverage, prepare a light-colored cocktail, and with Halloween-shaped Jell-O forms make some "ice cubes" with different monster shapes. Such as a hand form with a frozen red juice in it.
A few minutes before your party starts, get frozen juice out of the form and place it into punch bowl. You will have a scary moving hand in the bowl and it will also make your cocktail cooler.
- Spider web cupcakes – These cakes will certainly be a favorite on your Halloween menu. You will need to prepare a large amount of cupcakes; chocolate, apple flavor or pumpkin are some of the common options. Then crown them with a white or cream cheese topping. As a final touch, decorate the top of every cupcake with spider web design made out of black food coloring. The best way is to create few concentric rings using the black icing, then drag a toothpick through the topping going from the midpoint of your web. Drag the toothpick this way not more then four or five times to crate a lifelike spider web. It is also a good idea to apply paper cupcake lining which main subject would be Halloween.
