Halloween Party Ideas
I really love Halloween. Fall is my favorite season. Nights become cooler, the sky is clear, and leaves feel like a beautiful carpet under my feet. It's really a good time for party, one where even us adults can feel like we are back in our childhood dressed up with the funny make up on and having fun. Some ideas which could help you to create a real Halloween mood in your house are bellow.
The Psycho Bathroom
This was a huge hit last year! You should switch your usual shower curtain with an inexpensive, colorless, vinyl shower curtain liner. Now take a knife and make some rips in the liner. Next you will need some fake blood from Kayro Syrup and lots of cherry food coloring, then you should throw it on the bathtub, all around the bathroom walls, and on the curtain itself.
Some of the fake blood has to be spread on a great plastic butcher knife (you can always buy one in shops specializing on Halloween costumes and supplies) and leave it casually in the bathtub. To be even more cool have a "Bates Motel" towel on the towel shelf . You can find this manufactured professionally, but it’s not necessary. As an alternative you can buy an inexpensive, white towel, black cloth paint, and paint "Bates Motel" yourself. When people go to this bathroom you will hear them screaming!
Wormy Punch
I like to prepare a bright green color cocktail that I serve in a large bowl. My recipe was : Midori melon liquor, pineapple juice, and 7-Up, but non-alchoholic type is a good choice too, you can use Mountain Dew and pineapple juice. Then you have to pour some of cocktail in a round shape cake pan and put in some gummy worms all around the cake pan. Put it in the freezer and when it ices-up an ice ring will form, and the worms will look fantastic!
Fog Machines
Now in the last few years fog machines are not so expensive any more. This year they are available for $39.95 at K-Mart. In my opinion it’s better than finding and buying dry ice, and less dangerous too. (Dry ice must be handled with gloves) It’s important to check that your machine has a chiller so that the fog will stay low to the ground. If not you'll have smoke instead of a ghostly fog.
No-Admittance Areas
Don’t want gests to enter some parts of your house? Do it in the spirit of Halloween and use neon yellow, plastic police tape stamped with the words "Do Not Cross" and "Keep Out". It can be found in shops carrying Halloween supplies. Every Halloween party needs cocktails , treats and entertainment to be successful. Today is not so easy anymore to keep amused little ghouls and goblins with the same activities from the past. The best choices are simple games which can be played in groups and keep the kids busy!
